Missy Elliot Works On Upcoming Album.
Missy Elliot's much anticipated studio album
"Block Party" features production from Timbaland, T-pain, Pharrell
and Souldiggz just to name a few. The Virginia born rapper told Billboard she
chose to name the album Block Party because " There are alot of dance
joints on there, it’s one of those albums you can play on the streets, The
album is probably more musical and melodic than my previous ones" she said
She plans to release 2 of her tracks "Triple
Threat" "9th inning" on the 10th of September. Her longtime
producer/friend Timbaland recently tweeted: "Watch it world we back!!! My
sista @MissyElliot is dropping her singles
#9th Inning and #TripleThreat". Missy hasn’t released an album in 7
years one of the reasons has to be her battle with an autoimmune condition
called Graves Disease since 2008; thankfully her hiatus appears to be over.
She later went on describe the relationship she
has with Timbaland "There's a chemistry between us that will never leave,
like Janet (Jackson) and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Like Michael Jackson and
Quincy Jones- that kind of chemistry. Not to say it can't work if you get with
someone else. But, just because a producer's hot, it doesn’t mean it'll
automatically work".
